Garment Makers Question Time is a series of on-line garment making classes teaching the skills you need to make beautiful clothes which fit you perfectly.

Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn the basics, or a more experienced garment maker wanting to improve your skills, these classes are for you. 

The Garment Making Starter Bundle includes the first five classes in the series:

Class 1:    The Shift Dress 

Class 2:   The A-Line skirt 

Class 3:   Blouse 

Class 4:   Trousers 

Class 5:   Lightweight quilted jacket and waistcoat

In addition the bundle include three further foundational classes:

Bonus class #1 - Garment Making Foundations 

This class answers a range of questions you may be wanting to ask before you begin. Which are the best needles and threads to use? What scissors do I need? How do I know what fabric to use for different projects? .. and many more.

Bonus class #2 - Sewing Machine Basics 

Sewing Machine Basics is a series of 7 videos telling you how to get the best from your sewing machine. From loading thread to fixing top and bottom tension problems - this series will make sure you know how to set up every aspect of your machine.

Bonus class #3 - Bust Adjustments for a great fit 

Commercial patterns are made to fit a standard size bust, but most people are larger or smaller and will need to adjust their pattern. This class covers how to measure yourself correctly and then several ways to make the appropriate adjustments on the pattern. One member said that this class alone was worth her annual fee.

When do the classes start?

The classes are all pre-recorded videos so there is no start or end date. Classes can be watched whenever it is convenient.

Gift Bundle

When you purchase the bundle we ask you for the name and email address of the recipient, and the date on which you plan to give the gift (so we don't spoil the surprise.) 

We create an account on our system, and send you an email with their logon details so that you can give them to the recipient on the day. We also send you a pdf card with all the details details which you can download and print off or send to the recipient in an email. 

Once you have given them the details, they can log in at their convenience to watch the classes. And if for some reason you or they have any problems, Kelly and David on our helpdesk are ready to sort you out and get you up and running.
